#Repost from WH fitness director @jen_ator, who crushed the #UnitedNYCHalf this weekend: “Can’t wipe the smile off my face today. I went into this training block with no real goals or expectations—I just wanted to get back in the game. And while there were a lot of solid runs, these past few weeks also came with a hectic work schedule, some crummy weather, & a nagging hip pain. Going to bed last night, I really didn’t know how today would go; I wasn’t even all that excited. But then, this morning, something just clicked: the sun was shining, the endorphins kicked in early, the course felt perfect. I didn’t worry or overthink like I often do—I just fell in the zone & ran with confidence. Today, I surprised myself with a pretty big and unexpected PR. Today, I caught a glimpse of the runner I used to be—and more importantly, I caught a glimpse of the runner I still can be. And it felt all kinds of incredible. 🍀🏅🎉”
