Our thoughts are with all of those affected by the fires in Northern California. #Repost @run10feed10: “Following an official Health Advisory warning from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Women’s Health has made the decision to cancel #RUN10FEED10 San Francisco, scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 22 at Crissy Field.

After careful consideration, together with the County of San Francisco, we strongly believe that this decision is in the best interest of our participants, given the ongoing public health concerns associated with the Northern California wild fires. While we are deeply disappointed about canceling this event, the safety and well-being of our runners and partners remains our number one priority.

Women’s Health is committed to the mission of RUN 10 FEED 10—fighting hunger—and despite the cancellation of the event, will be donating meals to the hungry in the Bay Area on behalf of those who registered for RUN 10 FEED 10 San Francisco.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will be in touch shortly with additional details regarding refunds for RUN 10 FEED 10 San Francisco.”

It’s #NationalPastaDay! The recipe for this crowd pleasing (and totally customizable) pesto pasta salad is below. What’s your favorite way to eat 🍝? 📷: @peapoddelivers

Ingredients
1 box fusilli pasta, cooked according to package� directions and drained
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup prepared pesto
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 lemon, zest and juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup fresh mozzarella, cubed into 1/4 inch pieces
1 red pepper, diced
1 yellow pepper, diced
1/4 cup pine nuts toasted
1/2 cup fresh parmesan

Directions
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions and add to the large bowl. Toss with olive oil. Cool to room temperature.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together pesto, balsamic vinegar, zest and juice from one lemon, salt, and pepper.
3. Add mozzarella, red pepper, and yellow pepper to the pasta.
4. Pour dressing over pasta and toss to combine.
5. Top with grated Parmesan and pine nuts. Season to taste and serve at room temperature. Pasta salad can be made up to 2 days ahead of time covered in the fridge.
